Label: The Mind is a funny thing

Well, well, I hope I posted the blog(s) on the right date! I recently noticed the title bar on the computer indicated three days later! I think I figured out what in the world I did. There is a massive train show in Bessemer, Alabama on June 9^th. My brain probably got so excited about the show that it could only relate things to that date. I hate it when it does that! :( Once at a model train show in Huntsville, Alabama, I was so excited about the show taking place in a historic round house, when I purchased a model train magazine in the caboose, model train shop that was there as well, I paid for the magazine and left it on the counter at the register. I think the clerk thought I had gone “ 'round the bend”. People like me have “(model) train mania”. No known cure. Anyway, I will get it all straightened out. So, for the latest update. The print project is scheduled to be completed this week. Preliminary work looks great! This will pave the way for more ideas. I think I'm excited! Hopefully, I can calm down. A giddy omscaler

There is an old song that says a beautiful woman is like a melody. Why is that? Well, have you ever heard a piece of music and later you could not get it out of your head? That's what the song means. You become acquainted or even just meet one and there you are. You can't get her out of your head. What a wonderful distraction, hopefully. Another thing is, a beautiful woman can be inspiring. Think about Venus, the Goddess or the athlete your preference. Or Helen of Troy, why was she called Helen of Troy, she came from Greece? But, anyway, you get my point. Now, here is what this has to do with The Omega Scale Railway. People need inspiration in their lives to accomplish great things. What is great to one may not seem so great to another. Never the less, if you or I need something to push us to do what daunts us gather inspiration from whatever source it comes. Even if it is a beautiful woman. P.S. The Omega Scale Railway just may relate to beautiful women in an unexpected way. More on this later. The omscaler

Well, here is the latest on the Graphics Project. I gathered a handful of material for the printer and went down there on the expected day. We talked about what was needed. Then he made a sample. It looked great! Then he said that the set up charge would be the most expensive thing. This I knew was the industry standard. I thought to myself, “It might have to be recovered somehow over time.”. So, we continued our discussion. He said if I could bring some pictures of what I wanted, that would make things cleared for the set up. I said, “No problem. I have an extensive collection of model railroad magazines I have gathered over the years. There are plenty of photos in there.”. So later I began to diligently search for said pictures in the collection. Guess what? Sometime between when I last put the collection in storage (the closet), and the conversation with the printer, the “magazine elves” came and pulled all the pictures I was remembering and put in other model railroad pictures. I began digging around through the magazines looking for photos, model railcar ads, and diagrams. I saw everything but what I needed. “This is incredible!”,  I said to myself. “I have seen these ads for years”. Dig and dig and dig some more. I persisted. At last I began to see some things that would work. Boy howdy! I realized my mind recalled seeing such ads but it did not recall the exact month and year of the magazine the ad was in. Next time I will remember everything. Are you serious? Just kidding. See what  happens? Now I am having a conversation with myself. No doubt a by-product of intense frustration.
